I got my PPC a week ago an I am still working my way into the details. Before I had an n-gage and I could just plug it and it was seen as an external storage, just like a usb stick. With PPC, however, I need a synch software on the harddrive to make a connection and to be able to use the momory card. I just don't want carrying arround an extra usb stick since I have 4 gigs on my ppc. Does anyone know how can I use the card without any software on the computer?
Both are apps you add to your device. WMStorage is more seamless but am I correct in understanding that it gives access to the built-in storage or does it also allow access to memory cards? Card Export is a device-based toggle that lets you use the USB connection to have your device function like a card reader.
wm5torage cuts to the card only not the device. Its great for big files and viewing media. You dont have to put pics and music on the pc first. The pc will play them off of the card
wm5storage is great. one can choose which storage to share and if it should be read-only. Yesterday we had some music on a mmc card and no card reader for the playstation, so we put it in the pocket pc and hocked it up to the playstation as a normal usbstick using wm5storage. Don't ask why we used the playstation for a music player.
