New 8125 user

Helo everyone,

I recently upgraded to a Cingular 8125 and for the most part its seems to work fine accept when it comes to my wifi connection.First off I do have a cingular gprs connection I have a 9.99 media pkg with unlimited usage the first month.Anyway I tried to use the wifi connection at my college which has a unsecured wifi connection,my phone found the wifi connecton and everything worked fine.I come home to try the same thing on my linksys wireless router and my phone finds my connection I click on connect, it trys to connect but after a few seconds my phone says its unavailable and has a red circle around my connection name.

I call cingular tech support and they try to troubleshoot the problem but could not help me, they then transfer me to the phone maufacturer HTC or something like that and they cant help me either.I am frustrated right now I know there has to be a configuration problem with either my phone receiving my linksys router signal or I have to configure my home router differently. But I cant find the right tech support to help me, i even got with linksys to make sure my home router was unsecured and not blocking any connections, they confirrmed with me that the router is configured properly and to get back to the phone manufacturer for further tech support. If anyone has any ideas as how to fix my problem I would really appreciate it.

thanks,
Diego

sounds like a weak wifi signal....theres some places i go to with unsecured networks that my phone can see, but when i try to connect, it never connects....try downloading wififofum (its in the download section of this page) to see where your signal strength is strongest..
