I want to remove a few programs that came pre-installed on my Cingular 8125, like Excel Mobile and others, that I will never use. This will free up some memory on my device. However, these programs arent on the list under REMOVE PROGRAMS, so how do I get rid of them?
Some apps (like Mobile Word or Mobile Excel) are parts of the WM OS and are part of the OS ROM image. They do not take up memory outside the OS image unless they are running. Unlike other apps, they cannot be removed from your device through the usual uninstall routines or standard uninstall apps. You would need to find a way to remove them from the basic OS image and that is not a task for the timid.
