I am hoping someone will be able to help. I am with Vodafone and I lost my mobile last week. A friend had a T-Mobile MDA unlocked, and he offered it to me as he got a new company phone. Well it was working find with my Vodafone sim card until I decided to update the ROM using the T-Mobile update untility. Not everytime I try to turn on my phone it is in bootloader mode. Can this be fixed with a hard reset? and if so how do you do it?
I would appreciate any help provided, as I am lost without a phone.
Hard reset seems like the only way to go but remember it was cause all data to be lost... but I think lost data is better than an unusable device. While holding down the power button press in on the reset button (reset hole) with your stylus for about 5 seconds. Hope this helps and let me know if it works or not.
thanks for the reply, however I managed to sort it without hard reset. I decided to try upgrading the rom again and it went through without any issues. I am now on the latest rom, and everything is welling well. the only issue I have now is I can't seem to get my vodafone mms service working I'v asked for help from vodafone and they sent me through the settings but as this phone is ment to be used with t-mobile it not supported by my service provider. I have read that I can update the rom with the qtec one however worried I will mess the phone up again as I am a complete novice when it come to this type of phone and softwae. thanks again have a good one.
