Hi! AndyD803....
Are you trying to install applications to your pocket pc?
If this is the case well the are ways of installing programs to your pocket pc, If you want to install directly in your pocket pc you need a .CAB files.
The file that you are trying to install is desktop installer, you need active sync to install it.
I hope it helps. Good luck....

and in addition to what murdock said, if ur not trying to download those .cab files directly to the phone, all u should hafta do is open the downloaded software while your phone is connected to your pc thru usb. the installation wizard should run as usual, then your should see additional directions on your phone on what to do next.
if that doesn't work, let us know what file extentions ur trying to run.
yeah mine did the same too. When your phone is connected to your computer through active sync just double click on the exe on YOUR computer and it should start installing on your phone!
to uninstall a program, all u gotta do is click start, settings, system, remove programs. the only programs that should be listed/available to uninstall are the ones that you've downloaded/installed.
