PPC-6700 activesync connects, but doesn't sync

I just got a new PPC-6700 and it won't sync over USB. I've sync'd with bluetooth (that was a heck of a process) but no joy any other way. The computer and phone recognize that they're connected and the green thingy spins, but they never sync. Eventually I get a vauge error message and an invitation to use the troubleshooter. That doesn't find any problem and refers me to Microsoft's ever-helpful web site. I have uninstalled, redownloaded, reinstalled, tried different USB ports, chanted, danced, and even sacrificed a spicy chipmunk. Nothing is working.

When you look under Device Manager, is there an unknown device? Also, here's a great troubleshooting guide!

Nope, there's no unknown device. I've also read that troubleshooting guide and applied what was appropriate. It still doesn't sync with the USB cable.

Have you tried sacrifing a virgin. LOL

Back yo the issue, have you tried Hard Reset of Your pocket pc, this might resolve the problem your having if you said your USB cable is working...
But before you do if you have some important files be sure to backup first...

Let us know how it goes...

Ditto

I'm having the same problem with an iPaq rx3115 running Windows moblie 2003 syncing with a Tecra running XP Pro. I can manually move files and ActiveSync will recognize that there are itmes not synced, but will not go ahead and sync them. No amount of resetting (hard or soft) seems to fix the problem.

I've had this problem for nearly a year with my 700WX. No amount of installing/uninstalling, hard resets, soft resets, wasted hours with "tech support" have solved it. I've learned to live with it. Thank God for DashWire!
