if u already have the file as a wav, all u hafta do is connect your phone to your computer and drag the wav into your Windows/Rings folder. From there, you go to your Settings, then Phone. From there, there should be an option to select your ringtone.
you could also use mp3s as ringtones. the thing is that you wanna use a program that lets u edit the size of the song so that its not too long or take up too much space. if u wanted to asign text message tones, all u gotta do is save wav files to the Windows folder. Then go to Settings, then Sounds and Notifications, then go to the Notifications tab and you'll see the diff options that u can set tones to.
hope this helps. im a newb too so if i can help, i will.
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict Asofakinghigh! For your 8125 device .mp3 will also work for ringtones... however only .wav could be used for alerts/notification sounds. Also I'm not sure if you've already done this, but i suggest cutting down the songs for ringtones to 30 seconds or so at 32-96Kbps for bitrate, this will allow you to save room for more ringtones say if you wanted to specify ringtones for different callers. Hope this helps and lets us know if you have any more questions!
try this. instead of dragging the files into the Rings folder, FIRST try right clicking on the file you want as a ringtone, then left click "copy". Now, a reason you might not be able to see the Windows Folder, is because it might be listed as a hidden folder. To double check, click Tools, then click Folder Options, then click on the View tab, then under Hidden Files and Folders, make sure "Show Hidden Files" is selected (if not, select it, then click apply, then ok). Now keep in mind, the WINDOWS folder is going to be found AFTER you double click the Windows Mobile Device Icon. If you double click on the Windows folder, you'll see another folder that says Rings. Double Click there, then right click ANYWHERE in that folder and left click "paste". Your ringtone should APPEAR in that Rings folder.
Now on your phone, Click Start>Settings>Phone. It'll say Ring tone, and in that list of available tones, you should see your NEW ringtone. After selecting it, press OK. This will make THAT RINGTONE your default ringtone.
If you wanted to assign ringtones to specific people, go to your contact list, click on the name of the person you want to assign the tone to, Press Menu, then press Edit. You should see an option that says "Ringtone"...select whichever ringtone u want for that person.
Now as far as setting ringtones for text messages. All you hafta do is right click on the wav file that you want to use, click copy. Then on your PC, you open active sync, click Tools>Explore Mobile Device. Double Click on "Windows Mobile Device" and you should see the Windows Folder. Right click any blank spot of that folder and click "paste". Your wav file should appear in that folder. Now on your phone, click Start>Settings>Sounds and Notifications> Click on the Notifications Tab and change the event to "Messaging: New Text Message" and under that, u should see a list of available sounds. Choose your sound and press ok.
Here's an easy way if you want to make a certain .WAV file as your default Ring Tone.
Open your file Explorer(built-in), now browse to your .WAV file click and hold to access the right click menu form there you can choose to make the current selection as your default Ring Tone, this will also automatically copy the file to your /windows/ring.

Don't worry about that when you install an application the folder is created automatically on the location you selected it may be the main memory, storage or SD card.

and in addition to what murdock said this is what you do if you've already downloaded the games.
Connect your phone to your computer thru USB. Then on the computer, open the downloaded game. It should go thru a lil setup wizard and after a short while, your phone should let you know that you are installing a new program. You'll need to click "yes" to continue the install. Once the install is complete, you should see the new game in your games list.
