Ok is it a oem charger, is it the charger that came with the phone or is it one you bought of the internet. If it is one you bought off the internet buy another one make sure its the original one you can tell because it will say its the original and it will cost like $20-30 if you get a cheap one it wont work.
Also might as well buy another batter for like an extra $10 and that should solve you problem. Connecting a dead phone to a computer will not have enough voltage to charge a dead battery.
If that doesnt work you might have broke your usb port which is almost imposible to fix, it requires a certain type of soldering called reflow soldering I believe.

IDK what to tell you, I would start by buying a new charger and battery. Its going to be your cheapest solution, when it comes to hardware problems you just have to purchase new stuff sometimes.

wt is a good IM program for the 8125? id like to have AIM & MSN on my phone without having to resort to WiFi.. and my plan includes unlimited texting, IMing and picture messages so im wondering how do I make good use of it?
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict BASS! We're glad to have you here! To answer your question about WiFi, Cingular is incorrect. You are more than welcome to use your WiFi without being charged by Cingular. However, just make sure that the access point that you are connected to is free! All you need to do is go into the CommManager enable your WiFi connection and then go to a wireless hotspot (access point). If you are in range your Cingular 8125 will let you know of this and allow you to connect (you'll want to have it connect to the internet). That should be it (unless you need to put in a network key).
If you don't think that you will ever use Cingular MediaNet you can delete that default connection (so that you don't accidently connect and get charged by them) by going to Start>Settings>Connections Tab>Connections and then Manage Existing Connections. Tap and hold on the Cingular connection you see and hit delete. If you ever want to put those settings on again you can visit this thread here.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
-Tim
Hey Tim,
Thanks alot for info..
Quick q, if I dont have Manage Existing Connections - it means it wasn't there?
I've got
MediaNet
Add a new modem connection
Seu up my proxy server
Asanoguera:
Cingular's Customer Support website should have the download file and instructions for you. I use TMobile, and they have it set up very nicely.
If you can't find it, call them for a solution. Good Luck!

Thanks for your quick response . The problem is that i have a HTC 8125 but is unlocked and is no longer used in Cingular, but i need a fresh ROM (WM5 or WM6) becouse i have problems with the WIFI and already check all and is fine, but the WiFi I can't activated, thanks a lot
Hi guys, this is such a great forum firstly, so i went ahead and deleted the settings for internet connection through Cingular, sweeettt!!! would i now have to creat a connection when using my network at home or will my phone automatically detect? i am also looking to unlock, upgrade to WM6 and load TouchFlo on my 8125. Is it worth the work or should I upgrade to a phone like 8525 or Tilt to better handle the mods? i've been told that there are limitations to the 8125 when doing these kinds of mods. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated..

TODAY i just got my unlocked cingular 8125 PDA.I am using the CENTENNIAL network.I use WIFI to connect to the internet and nothing else.It is dialing some wierd number to try and connect to the internet first instead of using wifi.
When i go to start>settings>connection>Manage existing connections,it is set to Auto Pick then below it are two things i can also chooose.
One being: My ISP CSD and number
then below this there is:My ISP GPRS
I will just be using wifi and i want to know which one to delete to make it choose wifi first and only.
