4 months ago I decided I really would like a decent PDA but, being a bit stingy I decided I would go for a half and half option and went for the Orange SPV C600. It was poo! It broke 3 times and chewed itself inside out every time I tried to do anything vaguely complicated. So I sacked Orange after many replacement handsets and arguments.
Finally biting the bullet, I got myself an XDA Mini S from O2. Yay! Best decision I have made in years...except...Tom Tom Mobile 5 doesn't work on it and of course I am £200 out of pocket. I am lead to believe that I need Navigator 5 instead at a whole new cost of ...you guessed it...£200 AND I can't sell or use my old Tom Tom Mobile software as I have no device that I can register it too.
So, can somebody who is not quite as blonde as me give me some advice? Is all of the above true or are the cash grabbers just trying to squeeze more cash out of me?
I cant understand why, when the OS is the same (WM5) and the media is the same (Mini SD), why oh why does it not work?
thanks for that Tim - confirmed my fears but looks like it may be useful later if I do decide to fork out loads more money to TT.
Just as an aside, does anyone have a better recomendation than TT Nav for the XDA Mini S - is anyone running sat nav on it that works as it is supposed to without all the jiggery pokery to get the darn thing working?
