the only fee that i can see being considered a HIDDEN fee would be the 39.99/mon for the internet service..but its way worth it if u are going to be using the phone a lot for internet surfing and stuff..but my reply might be a little biast since i own a 8125
I personally don't think it's worth $40/month, and I use the wifi (where I can, still having issues figuring it out, but still).
I'm really happy with this phone, but I could see it being a really confusing set up for someone who isn't somewhat knowledgeable about at least looking up how to use it to their best advantage and has some knowledge of how to use windows mobile. My hp 1910 knowledge carried over a lot and I found it a lot easier to learn to use the device, but my 1910 didn't have cell service or wifi or anything, so that part has been difficult for me.

I agree that the Internet service is expensive, but it's really designed for people who are on their work's expense account. And the WiFi alternative, as you mentioned, is easier said than done...
That's the result of using "cutting edge" technology - and remember that your "little" handheld is actually superior to many of the desktops that people are using ...
So, you are among the "testers" for WiFi and bluetooth and GPRS applications, as am I and all the members of this forum... (All of these 3 "wireless" connections are still being perfected).
That's why we ask you for the details about the troubles you have, and why we want to know how you solved your problems... ==> we're all learning more about PPC's every day and from every new member in this forum.
So, please don't give up on your 8125... and if we don't answer a question in a way that is helpful, please give us another try, and ask again

I wouldn't call wifi and bluetooth cutting edge, and I think gearing an internet plan toward people who get their employers to pay for it isn't very practical or wise for a company that serves the public, not just big business. That said, I have no intention of "giving up" on my device, I'm very happy with it.
I understand wanting to know the details of my problems too, but as I said, I've already posted them in another thread and they're already being addressed. Thanks.
