At one point, I had some contacts with a category that I have created for them. I no longer have any contacts with that category assigned, but when I use the categories dropdown to select a subset of my contacts, these categories still appear. When I go into "More..." they show up as with (not in Category list) after it. They do not appear on the add/delete tab.
Does anyone know how I can get them out of the dropdown list?
Ok - thanks. The only question is if I'd use it often enough to make it worth while since I don't regularly sync with my home computer (which I guess probably wouldn't be a bad idea as a backup anyway).
I've realized that its a lifesave to carry an extra cable around with me whereever I have my PDA. If I'm over at a friend's house or a client's I can use my Pocket PC as an external storage device. Yet another reason why the Pocket PC rocks.
Yup. The cable will charge you device as long as the computer is on and ActiveSync is installed. If you don't want to charge with your PC you can also purchase a DC or AC adapter that has a USB slot. This will basically work as a travel charger and sync cable wherever you go! I found all the accessories for your HP iPAQ 2215 on BoxWave's website here.
I'd go into the Contacts section of Outlook and then view your contacts by category and open up the contacts that have the categories that you don't want and remove them there...
Got it. This is what you do... right click on any contact and then click on categories. you chould then see a "Master Category List" button. Click on that then delete any of the ones you aren't using.
No such luck. I had aleady tried that and the categories didn't show up in the master list. I even went as far as to add them the list in both Outlook and the PPC and remove them again. They still how up. It's almost like the PPC thinks there are contacts out there using these categories.
