Can't confirm for WM5, but in 2003 there was "Terminal Services Client" which came preinstalled. I've used it to connect to a Windows 2003 Server (don't remember what was on the server either - Remote Assistance or Real VNC).

I haven't tested this out on my own Windows Mobile 5.0 device but you are more than welcome to try it on your O2 XDA Atom. It's called PTvncWM5. Check it out here:

I hope this helps!

As mentioned by Tim there is PTvncWM5 - there is also PTvncSWM5 for Smartphones, both available to try or buy from:

Parys Technografx software development

However I am mainly posting this as we are currently developing the next version of our VNC client - in fact it's just about ready for final beta testing.
Our new version is "PT Pocket Office" which runs on both PPCs and Smartphones.
For most devices we already have enough beta-testers but we specifically need testers on the WM5 Treo, if you have a Treo and would like to beta test please contact us on:

support@parsytec.demon.co.uk

Note that beta-testers providing valid feedback will get the release version for free.

Thanks for reading.
