I don't know about anyone else, but I seem to have a bunch of very small devices and accessories to go with them. Trying to figure out how to carry and keep them had become something of a nightmare. I usually found out that I was missing some essential key item at an inopportune moment, so I was in search of the best way to keep all of my essentials together in an easy to carry format.
After much trial and error, what I finally decided upon was an aluminum briefcase purchased at Staples for around $60, designed to hold a laptop, that had some velcro spacers included, and borrowed some other spacers from other bags I had on hand.

Now some of you may notice that my actual PDA and cellphone are not included. That's because they either in my pocket or bag or in front of me 95% of the time. I don't have to worry about where they are, I know.
Now, when I travel this case is a bit on the heavy side, so I don't always take everything, but since everything is labeled, and I know what it in them, I can easily grab the cords case and the tin of misc items, my camera and be ready to go. In an emergency, I can just take the whole case and run.
Most of the time tho, it travels between work and home in the trunk of my car, where I know I have anything I could need during the day, and it's secure and well protected.
