block recognizer

Hello all. I have only recently switched to PPC in the form of an IPAQ rx 3715. I am a recovering Palm-a -holic and find Graffiti to be more than adequate for fairly rapid text input. I am currently involved with a trial version of Tengo and it's great but i always revert to the block recognizer / Graffiti input in PPC.
Could anyone help me out with an explanation of or a fix to stray marks showing when I am using Graffiti / block recognizer? I put my stylus on the screen in the input area and intermittently get stray marks which result in the wrong letter being input. I've tried a soft reset, a hard reset, inflammatory aspersions and a new screen protector, all to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you've tried all that, then it sounds to me like a hardware problem. You might try HP customer service/tech support.

It is a long shot, but it is possible that you have a little fleck of paper, sand or some other little impediment between the screen and the Pocket PC case. If you have a lens cleaning brush, you can use the brush to clean along the edges of the screen to make sure there's nothing in there. You see, what happens is sometimes something will get wedged in there and will create these artifacts like you describe. Make sure you are gentle if he try the above technique.
