A rather brave fella named Scotty-o, took apart and modded his Pocket PC Phone and hard wired the circuitry to accomodate one of the Griffen tech's audio-to-ir adapters.
Why? Because he didn't want the Griffen adapter "lamely" hanging out of his PPC phone. I often thought the adapter seemed to detract from Griffin's Total Remote. Now there's an alternative...yes a dangerous one...but an alternative just the same. via hack a day
