Boston PPC: Windows Media Player 10 Mobile and DRM Scenarios


We have done our share of discussing DRM issues with music download services and our Pocket PC's. If you are looking for a music service compatible with your Pocket PC, be it Windows mobile 2003 or 2003 second edition, you may run into some roadblocks. That is why it is nice to read differing hints and tips on the various music services available on the Net. Don S. over at Boston Pocket PC discusses some Windows Media Player 10 DRM issues And how he is faring with his own pocket listening habits on a Dell Axim X50.
'I know that there was a lot of buzz a while back regarding the launch of Windows Media Player 10 Mobile and its DRM (codenamed "Janus") capabilities. There has been some stories of both success and failure regarding getting it to work.
I've been using my new device (a shiny new Dell Axim X50v) for a while now. one of the nice things about it is that it comes with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile "out-of-the-box". I have been trying it out with some DRM scenarios, with very positive results...'
