I'm running into a problem with too much of the main RAM being eaten up.
I have several SD cards with scads of room.
what is the most efficient way of maximizing available room?
I wanted to put essential apps in main memory and non-essential on the SD cards, but I keep running out of room. It seems like even if I specify the SD card as the install location, some of the main ram gets used.
Also, what's the difference between main RAM and built-in storage?

Something I ran into too. Main ram and built in storage are in fact the same thing. While I thought built in storage was ram seperate from the main ram (Would have been nice, but that's okay) It is in fact a section of main ram just labelled differently. If you install a program there it eats up ram.
Just move all programs from there onto your storage card and you'll see all your ram come back (Painful, but it would seem neccessary)
that only provided marginal relief on the space crunch.
Is there no way to install programs on storage cards, or is it really a factor of DLLs for each application taking up space in the windows folder?

Eheh...When you install a program, and it asks you if you want to install to a default directory (I think that's the wording) You should click no, select storage card from the drop-down list, and then click ok. (Haven't done it in a while, but that's the general idea)
Do you do that when you install programs?
I did that on some of the programs I didn't need all the time. It seems like some of the programs want to put stuff in main memory regardless of what you tell it.
That has always been one of my pet peeves about windows programs. Files are strewn all over your hard drive. It would be nice if an install would be in one folder or subfolders of the same folder. uninstalls would be easy (except for registry nightmares).
