If you are a developer for any platform, you are probably familiar to one extent or another in the concept of "Event Handlers". Yes, those little button clicks, keypresses, etc. allow your users to tell your program what to do. However, it sometimes isn't so easy to implement an event handler when you deviate from the norm. That's why Alex Feinman has written Event handlers in the .NET Compact Framework – demystified and explained for OpenNETCF.org. "In Compact Framework quite a few things are implemented differently from the full framework. Among those things are event handlers. Among the questions asked about event handlers are:
· I want to simulate button click. How do I invoke a multicast event handler belonging to that button?
· I want to remove all event handlers from my control Click event. How do I do that?
· How do I see, which objects have registered event handlers with my class’ event
With a little bit of luck and help from System.Reflection it is possible to address all of the above needs. But let’s first take a look at the event implementation in CF. "
