There is an interesting commentary in CIO magazine about how all the pieces are in place for Mobile Enterprise applications to start becoming a powerful force in how people get things done. From doctors who will use their devices to help their patients to mobile sales people who can have their entire catalog inventory updated in their Pocket PC within seconds. Some of the problems, as pointed out are expense and security. Ahh...well, nothing worthwhile is easy...or cheap "MOBILITY | Author William Gibson once wrote, "The future is here, it is just not evenly distributed." The most dramatic recent example I've seen of this is the "mobile enterprise."
By this I mean enterprise applications that extend through the firewall all the way to handheld devices. I know you've heard it all before.
