Confessions of a Technical Masochist

Let's face it, we all have our "off days" when it comes to technology. There are those days when you wake up, turn on your Pocket PC and the first thing you try fails, then the second deletes some data. Finally you end up hard resetting your device and finding that your last and only backup is corrupted!
Well, a fellow named Andy Pennell has written Confessions of a Technical Masochist in his weblog. It is all about everything going wrong with his technolgy and how every piece of hardware he buys gives him huge amounts of grief.
Not quite every piece of technology gives me grief, but after thinking about it, they did have a point. I am a technology Early Adopter, and there is a price to be paid for this. Not just in the wallet (though there certainly is that), but buying and using a product long before most other people have even heard of it can be painful.
Any other technical masochists out there? Post your stories!

Its funny that you should bring this up...
I am sitting here in the second straight day without wireless access at home because I bought a more fully featured router and upon unplugging my D-Link wireless router something got corrupted and now it wont work.
Worst of all I still dont have the new router working right so I am questioning myself; "Was this new router worth all of this grief?"
I WANT MY WIRELESS BACK!

I consider myself an early adopter...and yes...it does hit me hard in the wallet and I do have problems more than anyone I know....but even if I get my laptop or PPC running at optimal performance for a couple of days.....it all seems worth it to me! I think that makes me a masochist!
