Have you ever been entering data into your calendar, task list or perhaps even putting together a Word document on your Pocket PC when suddenly you lose track of it and cannot find it? Frequently this can occur in Pocket Outlook when you enter a task or calendar entry and accidentally set the due date for a date in the past, it can happen if you save a document into the wrong directory as well. It has happened to me more than I care to mention and can lead to a lot of fumbling when you want to get to the item quickly.
One often overlooked feature of the Pocket PC is the built in Find feature. Although not the most powerful searching feature in all of computing, it can still quickly find what you are looking for. Access this feature by going to your Start Menu and choosing Find:
Obviously, youl would type what you are looking for into the "Find:" area. If you know exactly what TYPE of item you are looking for, you can use the "Type" dropdown to choose a type.
Now some of you who have been following the Weekly tip series, may have noticed, I am a bit behind schedule. It's quite possible that I've misplaced my task! So let's do a search for it! Example: Enter "Write Tip of the week" in the find area and use the Type: dropdown to choose Tasks Almost instantaneously, the task appears!
Just like the example above, you can use the Find to search for Tasks, Calendar items, contacts, items >64k and Pocket Word and Excel documents. Although it will not allow you to cut, copy or move the file it finds, the built in Find is pretty good for a quick location of what you've lost.
Brad, I think the reason you're always behind in your tasks is all the time you're spending trying to use that funny keyboard in the 2nd screen shot.

I found it hard enough to learn to use a qwerty keyboard, let alone starting from scratch by learning the Fitaly keyboard, even with a tutorial game.
I prefer the to use the keyboard supplied, but to have the big keys (number and character on one key) and gestures options fired up. Suits me just fine.
