Help w/ Wi Fi settings please

Hey all,
After reading some postings in here I decided to buy the Toshiba e805. What a beaut!!! I am upgrading from a Visor Platinum so this is like night and day. Therefore, it goes to say that i am a bit of a noob with this new device.
Anyways, I am having trouble getting online with my wireless router. When I start the e805 I can see my wireless connection but i can't get on the internet. When I click on the Internet Browser and try to load a url it gives me the modem options.
I looked in the manual and it says to look in Start-System-Wireless LAN Utility, but i dont have anything called that. Also, the manual says to change the settings in Start-System-Connections-Network Adapters but i dont have a Network Adapters option in Connections.
Am I just doing something wrong?
How do I log on to my wireless network which I see???
Thanks for any help and thanks for all the great past postings.

You should have a "Wireless Lan Manager" that is accessible from
Start->Settings ... and then the System Tab (at the bottom)....within this group of icons you should have a "Wireless Lan Manager"
When in the "Wireless Lan Manager"
Also in the Start->Settings there should be a "Connections" tab (third one to the right on the bottom)
In this icon group there should be a "Connections" icon..
Let me know if this helps any.

I found both of those but i cant figure out the settings to log into my wireless account. The manual says that the Connections folder is supposed to have an option called NETWORK ADAPTERS. I dont have that option, do you? What are the steps to access your wireless account?
I just want to get online with this and I cant seem to do that.
Please help!

Yes...When you go into the Connections programs...there is an "Advanced Tab" (at the bottom) click on that...
Then you should see a "Network Card" button..click on that
Then you should see a "Network Adapters" tab (at the bottom)
My says "My network card connects to (in a drop down box) "The Internet"
Let me know if this helps..

Yes in the Connections program.
Go to Connections and the "Advanced" tab...tap the "Network Card" button.
In the box at the top you should see the name of your wireless network. Mine is called "Wireless" with a status of connected.
Tap on the "Wireless" name of your network. This should bring up the "Configure Wireless Network application. At the bottom you should see an "Authentication" tab.. tap on the "Authentication" tab.
In the Authentication you can enter a WEP enabled key...
Let me know if this helps.

Doh! WPA is not supported in WM2003 and won't be suppoted until the release of WM2003SE (should be in the next two months)
at least according to this article on Ipaqabilities under the section of "Other Enhancements"

EUREKA, I AM ONLIIIIIIIIINE!!!!!!!!!
Thanks bk, my problem was that I had WPA security settings instead of WEP. My question now (even though this is not the best forum for this question) is if having the WEP setting is leaving me vulnerable to wi-fi hackers? I live in NYC so there are tons of people with wireless trying to get on others' accounts.
Anyways, thanks for all your help bk. This is one awesome toy. hee hee.
