I found myself just a little bit surprised by the results of a study performed by Cingular wireless that reveals men talk more than women on cellular phones. So what are these guys talking about? Apparently business... "The survey found that men talk about 16 percent more on their wireless phones than women. On average, men use their mobile phones 455 minutes a month while women only spoke for 391 minutes.
About 80 percent of the conversations reported by female respondents were social compared 68 percent for men. By contrast, men said that 30 percent of their wireless calls were for business purposes, while women respondents to the survey said only 16 percent of their calls were business.
The survey, conducted in the U.S. asked 499 men and 536 women about their wireless usage habits. It was conducted in May by International Communications Research. It is the fourth year that Cingular has run the survey and results in previous years were similar, the company said in a statement."
What do you think of this survey? Do the men you know talk more than women? My friends and family know me as the guy who can keep a cellphone conversation to 10 seconds or less. Probably because I had a cellphone early in the game when it cost $1 a minute or so to use it.
