The Desktop.Communication Library contains classes used for communicating with a CE device from a PC such as Microsoft's Remote API (RAPI). Available from http://www.opennetcf.org/ Today, there is an update available that adds the following enhancments.:
- Fixed bug in SetDeviceFileTime
- CopyFileToDevice now keeps device date/time info same as PC date/time info
- Fixed bug in CopyFileFromDevice for disconnect during copy conditions
- Added CreateDeviceShortcut and CeSHCreateShortcut P/Invoke
- Added GetDeviceShortcutTarget and CeSHGetShortcutTarget P/Invoke
Now get out there and code something!!
Brad, one question that you may be know the answer, can those libraries be used in a commercial application or they are limited to be used in freewares?
Well, from memory since the site is down. If I recall when they first launched the site, they said something to the effect that it was going to be a repository to help the community and aid developers so they could produce more software - hence promote the platform. In a nutshell, I don't think they were limiting anything except their liability -- if something goes wrong like a component hard resets your device, don't go crying to them -- sort of thing.
I'll have to revisit that though
