Hmm...no mention of alarm fix I guess I'll apply this ROM later this afternoon and let you all know how it goes....
Real quick here...the ROM upgrade went just fine. Soft resetted beforehand and launched the updater. 15 minutes later I'm at ROM 1.10
More details later as I explore the device.
Anyone else?
Ok, here's the latest....
I ran the upgrade as stated above. It went smoothly. I also restored my backup from my memory card. Yeah, you might think this isn't a good idea. But I knew you'd want to know -- so I did it. It worked OK, but resulted in sluggishness. Just didn't seem as robust as it should be.
So...I went back and re-ROMMED it. 8-) It seems much better that way.
So here is my recommendation for the upgrade: Sync all your tasks, calendar items, files etc. Then backup your files in your mobile files folder. Soft reset your ipaq and then update the rom.
After that, you'll need to resync your ipaq and then reinstall all your programs.
PS. The notify queue bug seems to be fixed I've soft reset almost a dozen times and no rogue entries occured.
I did this two days ago and it went as smooth as silk.
I would point out that you need to have the USB connection direct to your PC (desktop or laptop) and not a hub or whatever.
I've heard some nightmare stories from people who've done this incorrectly.
