Law not being one of my stronger skills, I am not sure I understand the basis of this lawsuit against Microsoft. As far as I can tell, the creator of E-Pass smart card feels threatened by the use of the word "card" and "smart" by Microsoft? :? So let this be a warning to all of you. I have a staff of high-powered attorneys on call just waiting for anyone to use the words Pocket, PC or Addict in any combination! :P
"A US Federal Court has sided with smart card company E-Pass Technologies in a preliminary hearing of its patent infringement action against Microsoft and Compaq (now part of Hewlett-Packard) over the Pocket PC operating system and the iPAQ PDA."
