If you visited Pocket PC Addict between the hours of 3 and 6 or so you may have noticed we were having technical difficulties. Apparently there were so many visitors and so many resources being used on the site, we crashed and burned I knew we were getting popular, I just didn't know we were THAT popular.
What's the solution? A new server. We'll be working hard to get the new server up and running in the next 2 days, but we still need to limit some of the load for the time being. The news will continue. But for the next couple of days, we are going to be scaling back on some of the scripted services we have on the site, maybe cutting a picture or two, and using compound words where appropriate :P

So I presume that 'lastest forums post' thing dragged a lot of resources eh
There are a few things that drag on the resources that have been disabled temporarily. Yes, changing that, limiting the front page news stories to 5 for non-members, as well as some other scripting has cut the load down to 1/3 of what it was.
Everything should be the way it was by Friday. Unless of course people want to make recommendations for changes.
