Study: Women buy more tech than men

According to a CNN article today: Women actually spent more on technology last year than men, according to the Consumer Electronics Association. It says women accounted for $55 billion of the $96 billion spent on electronics gear.
I know this certainly was NOT true in my house. I far outspend my wife on technology. As a matter of fact, I far outspend my wife in almost every category :P (I hope she doesn't read this )
How about the technology spending in your house? I'd love to hear your story.

hmmm...interesting. Maybe they spent more on technology FOR men! At my house that stat is probably true. If my wife buys a piece of tech-ware, I'm the one who is supposed to use it.

Read closely

The second paragraph of the article reads:
Forty percent of the women said they were treated better when accompanied by a man. And more than half said advertisements for electronics were confusing -- though half the men surveyed felt the same way.
You have to read closely....Translation: Half the men surveyed felt that women are treated better when accompanied by a man and that more than half of the women get confused by the advertisements.
(You have just experienced the BKBroil world...I twist things in my own head so that the outcome is advantageous to me! :P )

I have a really hard time believing, under any circumstances, that this is true. I think I have outspent my wife 50-1 on CE. And I have to hear about it frequently. .
