The Top Mobile Device Trends of 2003

It's that time of the year again when we look back over the past year and analyze the industry and make some predictions for the upcoming year. Brighthands editor in chief Ed Hardy did just that in his article "The Top Mobile Device Trends of 2003".
One interesting and main point that he makes is the rise of WiFi enabled handhelds from almost every manufacturer. I do not own a WiFi enabled PPC (yet.. :P ) but I plan on purchasing one in the next two months. I have my eye on the Ipaq 4155 or the MyPal Asus. I still don't have enough information about the Asus but I still have time for my research. The Dell unit has never crossed my mind mainly because I have had an Ipaq and I have been extremely happy with it over the past 2+ years but I would like to hear from anyone out there that has a Dell w/wifi and tell me how it's working out for them.
The remainder of the article is a very good read about smartphones, the number of HP units to hit the market, high end features in mid range models, Palmone's rise in the market and Sony's change in focus. Click here to read the article.
