I'll never forget the Christmas of 1978 when the "Must have" gift was one of those big Simon memory games. Carefully, I snuck out and looked under the tree and saw a gift that could be a Simon. After all, it was in a box approximately 17 X 17 inch box. Well, later that day, it was revealed to be a Barbie Swimming pool for my sister But all was not lost, because my Aunt did send a Simon that year and it was hidden away in a closet.

Simon was right up there with Atari and CollecoVision...I didn't get either..I got Odyssey...

It was great...you could program the games...and so began my introduction to programming in BASIC...and to think my career started with a Christmas gift... :P
