I love this application. Of many sound recorder programs I have tried, this is by far the best one. It read and write files from memory card in a speed that no others can compete with. Well, at least it is on my ppc.
Keep going VITO.

Hi Dada,
Long time no see. I was talking with a friend the other day about the various sound apps out there for PPC. I was wondering, what exactly you use vito s.e. for? It might just be what he was looking for.

I use VITO for 3 primary tasks.
1. Take note when I am driving. I use VITO button mapper light to map record key to VITO SE. Work very well,
2. Take meeting note (to make sure I don't miss the important part), and
3. Take family audio, i.e., my son, my dog while it is snoring). After a while, 2-3 months latter, you will appreciate you have take some audio on your family members. Kid changes their tone quickly than you can image. And, that is what I call valuable memory.
Well, other that those 3 tasks, what else can yo do
I use VITO SE in conjunction with PhatPad and HPC note. Those three give me a great convenience. The only problem is I need a higher capacity memory card to replace my 256M CF card. I keep too many audio, vedio, photo, and memo files in it.

Dada,
Those are some good ideas. I hadn't thought about recording the kids' voices for a "sound album". What a great idea!

Brad, You will appreciate it, trust me. I had some audio files recorded on my kid about 6 years ago (of course, I don't have ppc at that time and I regreat that I don't have) . Often, I pull it out with VITO SE just for showing it to my kid and said "See, you promised me to be a good boy".
Another thing I plan to use VITO is taking my upcoming vaction with sound note. No, I am not talking about taking my own voice on it. Instead of using your camcorder, have you ever thought about using Voice Recorder?

dada,
Your Journaling idea is great. Question though...how do you organize the sounds? Is it a list of sounds? Do you have different folders for different days?

VITO SE includes options that you can set a default recording directory (such as Memory card) to stored your audio files.
In addition, it creates a subfolder for each date. And, you can set a Default file name prefix for each audio file that you recorded.
So, during your journy, you don't have to worry about how to organize your audio file. VITO SE already does it for you.
