First, though, I belive you must sync over cable to get the partnership set up. At least that was true for bluetooth syncing :?
You might try opening Activesync and going to file>connection settings>allow serial...try changing your com port - then sync -- if it doesn't work, change again - then sync. etc.
I have mine on com 4 if that helps any.
