How Long Does Your Pocket PC's Battery Last?

We have a new poll for everyone that will answer once and for all how long the average user's battery lasts in their Pocket PC. Now this is for normal use...not "How long does your battery last when it is turned off, sitting on the cradle and you are in Cleveland for the weekend."
So c'mon and log your battery hours!

Suprisingly...

Suprisingly, my old Ipaq 3835 will last 6 - 8 hours (closer to 6). When I travel, I will listen to music from the time I hit the airport until I land and get to my rental car (usually 5 - 6 hours). Not to mention I am reading eBooks and playing games (Like Defender -- a Midway game from the 80s....I love it....do you know how many quarters I wasted in the arcade on Defender and Donkey Kong...another conversation for another time)...
Anyhoo, I can't imagine how long some of these newer ones will last...up to 12 hours? (plus removable batteries...I'm envious)

6 to 8 hrs - I'm jealous. I also have a 3835 and I can get about 4 hours tops - listening to an audible book, maybe playing a game (Monopoly, Scrabble or Links are my games du jour).
When I fire up the compact flash WiFi card, but battery drains about twice as fast - I usually get about 2 hrs with the WiFi plugged in.
(This is with PPC 2002, I haven't upgraded to whatever the 2003 name-of-the-week is).

I forgot to mention...Screen Toggle on WMP to conserve power

Ya know what, I forgot to mention that if I'm just listening to music.. I will turn the screen off.. I bet that is why I'll get more time out of the battery.. Do you know how to toggle the screen on and off while playing music?
It's under Tools -- Settings -- Buttons .... Choose "Screen Toggle" -- and then click any hardware button......
This will map that hardware button to "turn off" the screen when WMP is running. Conserves alot of battery power.

My Loox (with a 2e battery on it...) will last about 7.5 to 8.5 hours. This is listening MP3 for one hour, Navigating about 2 hours, using Pocket Informant a lot. Checking email. Bluetooth is always on and brightness at about 1/3. It makes me happy!

I'm running a 3850, and I'd say with music playing I'll get 3-4 hours, video, I can usually watch a full 2hr movie, and just using it normally, I would estimate 6-7 hours. Tho I just upgraded too 2003, and it might be just me, but I seem to get slightly better battery performance lately.

Yeah, 6-8 hours is pretty darn good. I want HIS battery!
My battery always reports 4 - 4.5 hours on my 2215. I've never run it down all the way because I'm a charge-o-holic. I like to keep topping off the batteries. Maybe in the name of science I'll let it burn all the way down.
g33kb0y, are you going to do the upgrade or are you satisfied with it as is?

Well, I have a LION extended battery. I get 2 and a half days average use out of it. If I am watching movies or using Pocket Artist, it uses more juice, but even with constant usage I will get more than a full day.

Blackjack and 3125

The batteries that came with my BJ had a very short life but AT&T sent me (no chg) a extended life battery (fatter) with a newer designed back cover..... and it's very good now for what I use it for.
2 days doing surfing once in a while and it checking email every 15 mins between charges, only 3-4 hr on movies thou.

3125 is app. half the above time..... but I love this flip-phone

Battery Life

I have a Verizon XV-6700 (standard battery) and with normal use including light web browsing, EVDO or WIFI e mail 6 to 8 times per day, numerous calendar updates and about 1.5 hours of talk my battery will last just under 7 hours. If It is a heavy talk or e mail day it may only last 5-6 hours without a quick boost from my car charger.

I have an Ipaq 2495 and the battery lasts about 5-6 hours with out WiFi, a lot less with it on and even less if I have an IM online with it.
