Hi - just to start things moving - we Dell lovers are alive out there.
Seriously - here's one new user - first time with a Pocket PC and looking forward to developing uses, chatting re issues arising etc.
Mike:
If this is your first Pocket PC device, what did you switch from? I just wonder from a user perspective, how the PPC stacks up with the other offerings. . .

Hi Mike and welcome,
Are you switching from PALM to Pocket PC?
If there are any questions you have about the device or OS, we'll do our best to help.

I would like to know too. do you like your dell? would you recommend someone else get one?
Thanks Brad - no - I didn't have a Palm - I'm a first timer.
Richard - yes I'd recommend it - as the reviews say it's not sexy, but excellent value for money.
Did yours come with PPC 2002 or WM 2003? I know Dell had an issue with implementing Windows Mobile 2003 at first.
How do you like the Axim so far?
BTW, WELCOME!
(Sorry this is a little late!)
I recently bought an HP 2215, which is similar to the Axim except that it has integrated Bluetooth which was I big deciding factor. I also bought a 2215 for my girlfriend. I can't wait till i get a bluetooth enabled cell phone so i can start surfing the net.
Nigeljedi - it came with PPC 2002 - only now do I hear about PPC 2003 - is that worth getting hold of ? can I buy it ? - is it me or are our good friends MS coy about promoting ppc operating systems ?
As far as I know, you can get an upgrade from Dell. Windows Mobile 2003 has a few new bells and whistles, but nothing major to speak of. I wanted it because I'm always buying the "latest and greatest" of gadgets and operating systems. The HP iPaq 2215 already had 2003 on it, so I didn't go throught the upgrade process.
