An annonymous reader just sent me a link to a company called GetHighTech which contains a bunch of kits you can use to repair your own PDA screen. Apparently, they just released a screen repair for the Dell Axim and iPAQ units. They have also included detailed online instructions for the DIY (Do It Yourself) person that would like to save money and fix the unit themselves. They claim that even non-technical people can perform most repairs on their PDA units.
When they sent me this link I couldn´t help but remember the good old days of taking a vacuum cleaner to the old iPAQ 3635 to remove dust from under the screen.
Would YOU dare bust open your PDA to perform a screen repair?

Most definitely it beats paying somebody like cingular 500bucks for a new one and if you dont fix it, it was already broken anyway the only thing you lose is a couple bucks and some time
