A PCWorld.COM article by Tom Krazit, outlined some potential problems one might experience by Overclocking their Pocket PCs.
Having personally used Pocket Hack Master for over a month, I haven´t noticed any of the problems he describes in the article: "Increased performance comes at a price. Faster clock speeds increase power consumption, decrease battery life, and add to the heat the device gives off. This can lead to system failures and the loss of critical data"
Though, I have noticed my right leg might be a little shorter than my left...either that or my mirror is crooked.
The PCWorld article is getting a lot of play but I was really disappointed in it. The author did absolutely no technical research at all. He just spit back the obvious "company" line that any kind of overclocking is "dangerous".
What about putting a couple of thermcouples inside the case and recording temps at different clocks? What about hooking up a DVM and telling us exactly what the power draw is at different clock settings? He didn´t even bother to report any performance benchmarks!
PCWorld is a major Mag... I would have expected more.
