Has anyone else noticed that the number of (Pocket PC compatible) streaming radio stations appear to be going away? It seems to me, most Windows Media Player compatible stations have started loading their own custom players/plugins that make connecting to them through a Pocket PC tedious if not impossible. Some of the stations I´ve relied on for over a year have dropped their standard format and now I cannot listen to them on my iPAQ.
Searching for new stations is a hair pulling task as well. This morning, for instance, my feeble attempt at finding a Christmas station to listen to resulted in only ONE result - A station streaming out of one of the former Soviet republics. I enjoy Russian Christmas tunes as much as the next guy, but I really don´t understand a word of it.
Personally, I find one of the biggest advantages of listening to radio on the Pocket PC is that it takes the the processing requirements off my desktop machine and allows me to do more important things like compiling code.
If you´ve noticed the same thing and found a workaround, I´d appreciate your tips. If you´d just like to gripe like I am, please do.
