During his Comdex keynote address in Las Vegas, Bill Gates attempted to ease some tech-investor fears by giving his view of the "digitized" future. Even though things are tough now, he feels that there is plenty more room for the tech sector to grow. In an article over at ZDNET, it is reported he feels just about everything we do will be digitized - from paying bills to note taking.
"Always one to bet on technology winning the day, Gates continued to paint a picture of a digital home increasingly crowded with digital devices. He pointed, as always, to the natural progression of economics that makes digital gear ever cheaper, more powerful and more portable. "
What is sort of funny, is over the past week, I have found myself scrambling for a pen on two occasions. I simply don´t use them anymore! Every bit of paperwork I do these days is on the computer or Pocket PC! Pens are almost an alien concept to me now - in fact, I now consider them to be antiques and pay upwards of $100 for circa 1979 model Bic pens. Anyone else here who has gone totally digital?
