Annonymous Writes: "Premier resource for mobile professionals incorporating Palm, Pocket PC, and other handhelds and wireless devices in the mobile enterprise
At the CTIA Wireless I.T. & Internet Expo, Handheld Media Group, Inc., publishers of Handheld Computing Magazine, announced the release of the first issue of Handheld Computing Mobility. The magazine addresses the increasing growth of mobile workplace initiatives and the related technology being developed to support these infrastructures.
The bi-monthly Handheld Computing Mobility covers all platforms, including Palm OS, Pocket PC, BlackBerry, and Linux, as well as the back-end products and services that support mobile devices throughout the enterprise. The magazine also focuses on wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, CDMA, GSM/GPRS, smartphones, Wi-Fi, 2.5G and 3G, and other standards which impact mobile workers. Mobility is a one-stop information source for mobile professionals, IT managers, and others who use, manage, and purchase handheld and wireless products.
“Just as the real cost of handhelds extends far beyond the box, so do all the potential benefits. That’s why each issue will feature in-depth articles, product evaluations, case studies, industry interviews, and vertical market profiles,” says Dave Johnson, editor. “We’ll provide the success stories, reviews, and inside information that is vital to helping organizations of every size justify their mobile deployments and maximize their return.”
“Handhelds are no longer a curiosity in the enterprise,” says Denny Atkin, Editorial Director of Handheld Media Group. “Cutting-edge companies realize the amazing flexibility handhelds can afford field forces and other workers--particularly when they can connect to databases instantly via wireless technologies. Handheld PCs in the enterprise offer a real edge, one that smart companies want to leverage.”
The end-user oriented Handheld Computing Magazine, formerly dedicated to Palm Powered hardware and software, most recently added coverage of Pocket PC, BlackBerry, smartphone and other handheld devices—including MP3 players and digital cameras.
Handheld Computing Mobility is published bimonthly, and is available by subscription, as well as at locations such as Barnes & Noble, Borders, Fry’s, Micro Center, Office Max, Office Depot, Staples and numerous other locations nation-wide. The Premier issue will be on newsstands October 22. International copies are distributed in Canada, Brazil, Japan, Singapore, and United Kingdom.
