NJ.com has a short blurb about how Microsoft and Viewsonic corp are teaming up to release the first PocketPC that costs less than $300.
Hopefully, this will bring more customers into the PocketPC world who have been turned off by the higher prices of the PocketPC platform. I know from personal experience that just about EVERY Palm owner I´ve talked to says: "Well, I would have gone with a PocketPC, but they are so much more expensive than the Palms. I couldn´t afford it."
"The agreement is the latest with hardware manufacturers that the company has teamed with in rolling out its Pocket PC software. The company has been aggressively courting manufacturers and landing deals with cell phone carriers to market devices that run its technology as the market for handheld PCs, "smart" cell phones and other devices grows.
