Yes folks, apparently it's true. "Stephen" will soon be pushing Dell handheld devices based on the PocketPC OS. I had some initial reservations about Toshiba entering the PocketPC race, but look how that turned out. They provided good PDAs and they are actually selling well. It will be interesting to see what impact they make on the Pocket PC market. *IF* they enter the market!
"Dell Computer is planning its first foray into the handheld market and has been negotiating with several Taiwanese original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to produce a higher-end product to gun against rivals Toshiba and Hewlett-Packard, according to an analyst.
Research released on Thursday by analyst firm Ars speculated that Dell would soon place a large order for branded handhelds based on Microsoft's Pocket PC operating system (OS). "
