did you get it from the phone provider? or did you get it unlocked and tried to use on a network?
if the latter, you might need to go to the provider website, or customer service and ask them how to do it. If the first... I guess the first solution would work.

My SIM provider has given me a file as a text message and I just save it and it had automatically install all the internet protocols in my mobile a long time ago.
