help me

I got my Cingular 8125 for my 15th birthday. The first thing I noticed was that the today screen has no icons. I was annoyed by having to going through the start menu, to click on the programs. I would always click on the wrong one, I don't use the stylus. I want freeware that will put icons on the today screen. I do not use active sync, so a cab file would be great.
