xda exec need help

Hi guys i am new on this site, Could do with some help just damaged my lcd screen on xda exec the phone still works ok just cant see the screen i can conect up to pc with usb lead but cant open data files or copy and paste data file in mobile devise . I need all my contacts and numbers as they are saved on the devise .please can any one advise me Thanks Sam

ActiveSync has (at least it used to) an option to backup your device. You cuold backup the device and then when you get a replacement recover to that device.

Doesn't you r data get transferred to your pc when you connect via USB?
