Hi.
I have tested the pocket informat 4.
It was recomended to me, so I gave it a spin.
But I must say that I think it is to slow, uses too much memory but looks better, than the one in pocket pc 2002.
So I would really appriciate, if you posted a few words on which PIM software you would prefere
Thanx.
Well first off I'm biased - in my other life I moderate the PI forum.
However, ALL add on PIM's are slower than the built in ones, because they don't have access to the data in the same direct way as it does, but it's certain that PI is now no slower than any other.
The best bet with PI (and I assume the others as well) is to keep them open all the time. That way you don't have to wait for them to open when you press a hardware button for example, and then everything is almost instantanious. There is a thread here that explains exactly how to do that.
I also wrote a summary of the differences between PI and it's main competitor (Agenda Fusion) here.
But if you don't need something as feature rich as either PI or AF, you could give SuperCalendar a try. It's cheap, and improves the look of the calendar a lot. However, it is just a calendar programme, it doesn't do anything with tasks or contacts or notes, like a full PIM does, but then maybe thats what you're after?
