Microsoft Revamps Pocket PC OS

PC World.com is saying today (of all days) that Microsoft is both upgrading and renaming the Pocket PC OS to Windows Mobile Software for Pocket PCs. <img src ="http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif">
What sort of bothers me about all of this is that so many new people who are trying to switch from Palm to Pocket PCs are confused enough by the transition. Why does Microsoft choose now to rename the OS?
