A Wireless Newsfactor article points to a new Texas Instruments development that allows Bluetooth and WiFi to coexist without interfering with each other. In other words - surf the internet using 802.11b while using your bluetooth headset! Not that I'd ever do that - but I am sure someone would.
While there are other Bluetooth/Wi-Fi coexistence products available, most deal with data traffic only, according to TI spokesperson Marisa Speziale. "Our technology prioritizes voice traffic over data, addressing the poor quality of voice transmission on Bluetooth."
