Pen&Internet and dopod bring handwritten messaging to China

It's been quite awhile since we've talked about PenInternets riteMail. Come to find out, they have made some international expansions in the area of colorful email and messaging. They announced yesterday that they have teamed up with dopod Communication Corp (China's manufacturer of Pocket PC Phones) to produce a Chinese calligraphy messaging solution for Pocket PC.

"Under the terms of the agreement, riteMail for Pocket PC will be pre-loaded on every dopod unit. The dopod device was the first Pocket PC convergent phone to debut on the market in China and is currently sold and marketed in the major electronics stores across the country. Wireless connectivity for dopod is currently provided through China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile operator. "

"By embedding riteMail on the dopod Pocket PC phone, we now have the opportunity to tap the full potential of email as a natural communications medium in China," said Charles Yang, CEO and president of dopod Communication Corp. "With its high quality electronic ink and easy user interface, riteMail clearly has a great mass market interest in China. I believe this 'Handwritten Messaging' will become the next step in MMS for the Chinese markets."

I know there are some people from China who visit Pocket PC Addict. What do you think about this? Will you use it?
