You may not have heard of info-cop before, I know I hadn't until now. However, according to this Wireless News Story, police in NJ are using it to get real-time access to local, state and federal crime databases using Pocket PCs and other handhelds.
"The system can simultaneously tap into eight massive databases and receive that data and photos in two to four seconds, the company said. Normally, it takes a beat officer five to 10 minutes to check the databases individually with a dispatcher. "
hmmm...I wonder if it has record of that unpaid parking ticket of mine from 1987?
