Okay, a bit off topic, but I thought it was addict-worthy - Verizon and MSN are joining together to rid the world of AOL Broadband - Sign up for Verizon DSL with MSN for a piddling $34.95/month - from what I could read this is the actual pricing, with the first month free! I'm presently paying something like $59/month for Verizon DSL with 20 hours of dial-up - $35 for the whole shebang is nice! As my wife and I never consolidated our AOL accounts (hey, only married 3 years), we're paying something like $43/month extra just for AOL dial-up! From what I could figure out from AOL, you can add AOL to your existing Broadband connection for $9/month - so basically if I add the Verizon/MSN package to my phone for $35, and AOL for about $9, I'm breaking even but I can finally surf PPCAddict at home! Yippee! Now to start shopping for wireless routers to hook up my iPAQ... Note: This article also appears on www.gadgetaddict.com.
